Nunavut Hydro-Fibre Link Project

In partnership with InterGroup Consultants and Nukik Corporation, an Inuit-owned corporation overseeing the development and operation of large infrastructure projects in the Kivalliq region of Nunavut, Joro’s ongoing support includes terrestrial wildlife and vegetation assessment for the Kivalliq Hydro-Fibre Link (KHFL). Joro’s services for KHFL include caribou telemetry analysis and synthesis, aerial wildlife surveys (multispecies, migratory waterfowl, and ungulate), trail camera installation, and vegetation plot assessment in support of a future Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). All activities include engaging with local community participants for field work support. See Nukik.ca for more information.
